from georgia to north carolina

i know i haven't blogged in a while. i'm actually having fun in north carolina!!! i mean, jumping on a wet trampoline, swimming (for fun), chasing after a dog who has your sock... so much fun! the dog's name is rocko (if that's how you spell it). he's a little... big?... fluffball of energy! i think he needs a haircut too. and he takes my shoes. i've learned to put my shoes in my room.
that's not ALL of the fun! i've been on a trampoline!!! yes, a wet trampoline. and it's been a blast slipping, sliding, and pretending i'm agent juarez from g force. (fyi: i've been playing with 8 year-olds. come on, find you inner child!)
we're going to old salem tomorrow. fun. i hope it's where the "witches" were executed... and i don't have anything more to say, except having a 4 year-old screaming as loud as he can can give you a headache. goodbye, earthlings.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Hello yankees! Yes, today is the day when the fireworks go off and you feel the American spirit. Well, I also forgot to make a tribute to Michael Jackson, so sorry Michael Jackson fans. Michael Jackson was amazing; he made music videos popular, is also known for the pelvic thrust (shout-out to J!), and his Thriller video. We will remember him forever.
Anyway, I'm at Ft. Myers Beach getting ready to see the amazing fireworks. Trust me, they do the best job ever.
Yesterday I swam at a one-day swim meet and am 14 seconds away from a J.O. cut! So yay me!For you people who live in Florida, come to Ft. Myers Beach and see the AMAZING fireworks!!!!!

Cheerleaders. Ha!

Hey again, people of Earth. There is ANOTHER meet and another chance to make J.O. cuts. You know how I feel? Tired, cold (sitting under the a/c in a wet swim suit while blogging can make you cold. BE FORWARNED!!!), and... not hungry. I just ate breakfast. Yum.
This time, I'm swimming the mile (AGAIN!!! AAAHHHHHHH!), the 200 breast, 200 I.M., and the 100 breast. Still, I'm not too happy about the mile, if you haven't noticed.
Coach Don is really grumpy (I actually prefer Coach Connie doing our work-outs!). Oh, and Junior Olympics is coming up and it's here! I HAVE to make one or else I will have to work the meet every day all day. Yay me. One other problem I have with Junior Olympics is the TAPERING! I mean, the people who don't make a J.O. cut don't taper and watch the J.O. kids have fun doing easy sets and watch them do cheers! When they're not swimming. We have really wierd cheers, too. Here's one:

Form banana, form, form, banana,
Peel banana, peel, peel, banana,
Go banana, go, go, banana

Form potato, form, form, potato,
Peel potato, peel, peel, potato,
Mash potato, mash, mash, potato,

Form the orange, form, form, the orange,
Peel the orange, peel, peel, the orange,
Sqeeze the orange, sqeeze, squeeze, the orange.

They also have hand motions. And there's one that goes like:

Icky the picky wicky
(repeat once)

Uffle the puffle wuffle
(repeat once)

Oooh cu chi ah!
(repeat once)

I didn't know how to spell this one. Say it like the letters go. It's wierd.

Blue Nails!

Aloha again. My mom took me to a place where they give manicures and pedicures and I got blue nails now. Of course the pool ruined them, but who cares? It's not like I'm a girly-girl (which I really hope I'm NOT).
Anyway..... I have little news..... wait, maybe more than a little. I'll be like Abby from NCIS. Good news or bad? Okay, I guess you can't answer that..... how about the bad news????
Coach Don (Coach Connie's husband) is picking on me a lot. I mean push-ups and more push-ups, yelling at me (coaches from out of town know my name! Does that tell you anything???), SCREAMING at me, so on and so on.
Good news: I didn't die in the mile. Well, technically I'm still alive because I'm blogging right now..... More good news! Well, painful, but good news. I made finals in the 200 fly! And dropped 7 seconds. Which is kinda good, even though it drained all of my energy trying to get a faster time. I mean, I added on everything except for two races (the mile, which I haven't swam before, and the 200 fly, the second time though). OH YEAH! I have a question for all of my readers: no. I'll put up a poll. Nevermind. WAIT! no..... sorry 'bout that. I'm a little spacey today.

AAAHHHHHH!

Okay. We have a meet coming up and I'm not happy about it. One: today I'm swimming the mile. I repeat it: THE MILE!!!!! 30 laps of fun and sun! Well, not really. Luckily, I'm not freaking out about getting a counter. That's the only good thing about this swim. There is another good thing, though. I didn't have to swim this morning, meaning, SLEEPING IN!!!!! Yeah, baby, 8:15 and not a minute earlier! Now I'm not even tired. And I don't need a nap.... But there's nothing good on T.V. now....
Anyway.... wish me good luck for today! I think I might need it. I mean, my stroke isn't that fast and my endurance isn't up to what it has been.... (STUPID LOAFING!) I guess I should start working harder in practice.

*Yawn*

Yo. Today was... interessante (interesting in French)! I did not want to get up this morning. Seriously, getting up at five o' clock doesn't sound good. We ran a good two miles. I walked some, though, but didn't walk as much as some of my teammates! Here was yesterday's set:

Warm-up
1x300 free

16x50 on 1:10 (first four fly down free back, second four back down free back, etc.)
*the interval got changed at the backstrokes to 1:00*

4x25 on :30
3x50 on 50
2x75 on 1:10
1x100 on 1:30
(we did this set four times: the first time free, second time breast, the third time back, and the fourth time fly)

5x150 free pull on 2:30
10x70 on 1:10
800 i.m kick

Here was today's set:

Warm-up
1x600 free (I did fly because I was slow putting my cap on)

2x50 free on ???
2x50 fly on ???
2x50 free on ???

(I was really confused at that time. Then Coach Connie came and took over)

Sets
5x300 on ??? free pull
(My mind is going blank today!)

?x400 on 7:00
(We swam until the other kids stopped. They were doing 5x800 on ???)

Then we were done! I'm not kidding. My mind's gone blank.

Hopefully I'm not getting short-term memory loss!
